SUEZ, proud sponsors of Young Enterprise Cornwall awards

SUEZ are delighted to have been able to support Young Enterprise (YE) in Cornwall. This national charity works to equip young people with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in the changing world of work.

Steve Raw, our Service Delivery Manager in Cornwall, awarded the SUEZ sponsored trophy for Best Financially Managed Company to Simply Stitched from Truro High School for Girls. He said “I’m so impressed by the entrepreneurship and professionalism of all the entrants.”

The Cornwall Final, held at New County Hall in Truro, celebrates the achievements of students from schools throughout the county who have started fledgling businesses with the help of the financial education charity Young Enterprise. This year, students across the county have set up companies and made all the decisions about their business, from deciding the company name and product, to creating a business plan, managing their finances and selling their products.

YE Area Manager for the South West, Stephanie Anderson said: “The teams have all done a fantastic job and worked extremely hard, with the support of their teachers and volunteer business advisers. They should all be extremely proud of their achievements.”
