SUEZ box clever at Christmas

In a year when being kind to those around us is so important, SUEZ staff across Cornwall have gone the extra mile to box up over 30 Christmas dinner parcels for less fortunate families in the county.

Each box contains enough food to prepare a Christmas dinner for a family of four and was filled with all the extra little goodies and treats, such as mince pies and biscuits, and of course Christmas pudding. Jo Hillman, Compliance Officer for the Cornwall contract who helped coordinate the appeal on behalf of SUEZ, said: “We have supported this appeal for a couple of years now in Cornwall and I am overwhelmed at how everyone has gotten behind it this year, we have been able to donate 40 boxes which is nearly twice as much as last year”.

Boxes came in for distribution from each of SUEZ’s sites in Cornwall, with staff even taking the time to wrap the boxes to make the donations feel even more festive.

The Cornwall Christmas box appeal initiated by Truro Vineyard Church has collected boxes for over 18 years and distributes them through Cornwall Council’s Social Services Team, Food Banks, and other organisations already in contact with families that need support. Last year the charity collected and distributed 1,200 boxes.
