Bodmin materials recycling facility visitor centre

Groups that visit our recycling facility experience an exciting and engaging recycling story.

You’ll learn how we reduce and reuse waste, find out what can be made out of recycled materials and see for yourself how we process waste materials before they are turned into recycled products.

As well as a tour of the recycling facility, you can take part in:

  • Videos and computer games
  • Games to sort waste and recycling
  • Word-searches, crosswords and quizzes
  • Modelling and drawing activities
  • Question-and-answer sessions

The visitor centre opened in 2008. Since then, thousands of people have discovered the difference that recycling can make. We hope you’re tempted to visit and look forward to welcoming you soon.

School trips are welcome. We can accept up to 30 visitors at one time, divided into groups of 15 per tour.

“We all loved our visit – thank you very much. A great balance between interactive, hands-on activities and more focused listening activities. We all loved our ‘inside view’ behind the scenes, and the end-of-session quiz was great fun!”
